Alec Poland is an Associate Attorney with the firm concentrating his practice in Estate Planning & Administration, Elder & Special Needs Law, Incompetency and Guardianships. Mr. Poland received his Bachelor of Art in Political Science Pre-Law graduating with honors from Michigan State University (2022) and received his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Toledo College of Law graduating Magna Cum Laude (2025).
While attending Michigan State University, Mr. Poland worked in the Michigan Senate for Michigan State Senator Kevin Daley. Mr. Poland was also chosen to be a part of the Political Science Scholars Program, and he was also a member of Kappa Alpha Pi, a professional pre-law fraternity. Further, Mr. Poland participated in the Michigan Government Semester Program.
At The University of Toledo, Mr. Poland received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for receiving the highest rankings in the class for both Lawyering Skills 2 and Business Bankruptcy. In addition, Mr. Poland was a member of The University of Toledo Law Review and worked as an Articles Editor for Board 56. During his summers, Mr. Poland interned in Michigan’s 23rd Judicial Circuit Court for Judge David C. Riffel. He was also a previous 2024 Summer Associate with Patrick, Harper, & Dixon and has experience working as a Corporate Counsel Legal Extern at TL Industries, a corporation in Perrysburg, Ohio.
In his personal time, Mr. Poland enjoys hiking, canoeing, golfing, and cheering on Michigan State football and basketball.
